Why do I interest to the oil and gas industries even most all field activities are dangerous, difficult and dirty? I’d like to let you know and I convince my self, I just follow where my passion is. It is quite challenging but honestly an exciting experience too to free fall to the oil and gas work environment. There are over 5000 companies around the world who drill for oil and gas. The role of the oil industry is also very prevalent in everyday life; the industry provides over 80% of the worlds transport fuel need and accounts for about 50% of the worlds energy needs. That means, there are of course many advantages to working in the oil industry. It provides a huge scope for job variety, the ability to earn an excellent income, and of course there are many opportunities for career advancement.  It is not impossible you will experience around the world and interact with diverse culture where the oil and gas industries have global project and wide range of work area.

I attended the Polytechnic of ITB from 1995 to 2000, holding Diploma #1 for Electrical Installation and graduated with a Diploma #3 in Mechanical Engineering. I started working as maintenance staff in Mill Industries which produced animal fed and corn grits and was involved in plant expansion where the owner assigned me to supervised all project activities such as to ensure bill of material met specification, spouting installation comply with drawing, liaison between the owner and project contractor. In 2006, I joined an engineering plastic part manufacturer as project planner for the last 2 years then I advanced through roles as Maintenance Supervisor since early 2009, I have been starting to get in touch more with managerial aspect, how to managing work load as well as organize varies sources like workforce, task schedule, negotiate for job outsources, performed maintenance cost and budgeting, including long-term planning and people development. I even still involved in detail technical task such as design, measure, calculate and analyze machine failures.

Time goes day by day, then I would like to try something new in history of my life. Actually now, I am pursuing an opportunities in the oil and gas industries and I realize, sure I have to possess the skill, knowledge and all about things that make me ready for work, gaining new experience .Someday, somehow, hopefully ……… I finally will have a pleasure to becoming a part of the oil and gas industries, no matter in upstream or downstream.
